Lauren Goodger: No-one will replace Mark on TOWIE
Lauren Goodger thinks "no-one" will replace her former fiance Mark Wright on 'The Only Way Is Essex', despite the introduction of 12 new characters to the ITV2 reality show
Lauren Goodger thinks "no-one" will replace Mark Wright on 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The 25-year-old beauty - whose co-star and former fiance quit the ITV2 reality show last year to appear on 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!' - explained despite 12 new cast members having joined the series, she doesn't feel threatened by them.
She said: "In every series we have new people coming in, and that's the way it will always be. Lydia Bright knows Ricky Rayment, though. People keep saying he's the new Mark Wright, but that's rubbish. No one could replace Mark.
"I've been there for so long now - I'm one of the original characters. It's an adjustment when new people come in and it takes a while to warm to them, but it's refreshing. At the end of the day, everyone's going to be different, so there's no competition."
However, Lauren - whose on-off relationship with Mark was one of the main storylines in the first three series of 'TOWIE' - is keen to show the "real" her in season four now that the 25-year-old hunk has departed the show.
She added in an interview with Star magazine: "The reason I'm doing this series is to show people the real me - the one without Mark."
