Matt Evers was "worried" about Jorgie Porter's skating ability when she started on 'Dancing On Ice'.
The professional skater is "very proud" of how much the 'Hollyoaks' actress - who is now second favourite to win the competition - has improved since she started training for the ITV1 show, as she initially found it difficult to even move forwards.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm very proud of Jorgie for what she's accomplished so far because she was like Bambi on ice when she started. I knew I would be fine with her to do the lifts and the tricks.
"I was a bit worried at first about her skating skills but something has now clicked in her head and she has come on like you wouldn't believe.
"She didn't know how to stop and she would have trouble going forwards. But now it's amazing, just every single day we are like, 'Oh my God, she's a natural'."
Matt has drawn comparisons between the 24-year-old beauty and Suzanne Shaw - who he won the competition with in 2008 - and he is confident Jorgie will triumph this year.
He added: "Jorgie is one of the best partners I've had to have picked up the choreography the easiest. Suzanne was incredible. Jorgie is a lot like Suzanne where when she tries to turn it on, it just happens. They are both incredible actresses and performers and they know how to control their nerves."
