Mandy Slater's former prostitute mother is to make a shock return to 'EastEnders'.
The conniving blonde - portrayed by Nicola Stapleton - has always had a strained relationship with her mum Lorraine and is stunned when she turns up in Albert Square after last being seen in Walford in 1991.
Lorraine will be played by former 'Bad Girls' star Victoria Alcock and she can't wait to get started with her new role.
She told the official 'EastEnders' website: "I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of 'EastEnders' and am looking forward to working with my good friends Linda Henry (Shirley Carter) and Nicola Stapleton again.
"I can't wait to see people's reaction when Lorraine arrives on the Square!"
Lorriane's arrival - which will be screened next month - comes at a bad time for Mandy as she is battling to save her relationship with fiance Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) because his tearaway teenage daughter Lucy is doing everything she can to split them up.
Lucy (Hetti Bywater) tricks Lorraine into returning as she thinks she has found the phone number of Mandy's secret lover and arranges to meet them, as part of her plan to split up he couple.
But she is shocked when ex-call girl Lorraine turns up at the Queen Vic.
