Amanda Holden blasts 'brainless' Kelly Brook

Amanda Holden thinks Alesha Dixon will succeed where Kelly Brook failed on 'Britain's Got Talent' because she has "a brain".
The 40-year-old star explained the former 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge - who was poached from the BBC One show with a reported £350,000 paycheque by series boss Simon Cowell - won't be axed from the panel after two days as Kelly was in 2009 because she is more intelligent than the model.
Amanda said: "You'll have to talk to Simon about Alesha, he booked her. It's a difficult one, but I think she's probably got something else - a brain.
"I'm excited about Alesha. It will be nice having another girl to back me up."
Meanwhile, Alesha is determined to make her stint on the ITV1 show work, and claimed she didn't leave 'Strictly' for the generous paycheque offered by Simon, but because it was "time to move on".
Speaking at the first round of 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions in Manchester yesterday (20.01.12), she explained: "Those four judges didn't work, but these four judges will.
"Money has never been a factor. If it was I'd have done so many crazy things over the years. I make decisions on what feels right and what excites me. I was going to leave 'Strictly' anyway. Three years was respectable. It was time to move on."
Elsewhere, eight months' pregnant Amanda thinks last year's rating drop for 'BGT' and 'The X Factor' has brought Simon - who quit both panels to launch the 'X Factor USA' - "down a peg or two".
She joked: "It's knocked him down a peg or two. He's now going to look like Superman. Come back, everyone's thrilled, and ratings will go up.
"He'll look like the hero. Let him have it. I'm just glad he's back."
