Paddy McGuinness likes 'vamped up' Take Me Out
Paddy McGuinness admits the new series of ITV1 dating show 'Take Me Out' has been ''vamped up'' and thinks it has taken a turn for the better.
Paddy McGuinness admits the new series of 'Take Me Out' has been "vamped up".
The presenter of the dating show - which features a large group of women who have to chose whether or not to date one man - believes the skills displayed by the men have taken a turn for the better in the latest series.
He said: "The set's been vamped up a bit and I think it's now a mix between a dating show and 'Britain's Got Talent'!
"We've had some very elaborate specialist skills from the lads this series. In one episode, we have a 20 foot birthday present lowered from the ceiling, which opens up to reveal a Steve Wonder impressionist on a keyboard!"
Paddy is famed for his catchphrases on the show, and he was shocked recently when he heard someone copy one at a funeral.
He told more! magazine: "I was at a funeral for this guy I didn't know too well but I wanted to pay my respects. So I'm stood in the crematorium, and as the coffin's going in this bloke behind me goes, 'Let the ashes, see the urn.'
"I couldn't believe it. I tell the story on tour and people think I'm joking but I'm like, 'No, this actually happened'."
