Andy Akinwolere slams Louie Spence
Andy Akinwolere thinks Louie Spence gave him a low score on 'Dancing On Ice' because he didn't find him attractive
Andy Akinwolere thinks Louie Spence gave him a low score because he didn't find him attractive.
The former 'Blue Peter' presenter - who was voted off 'Dancing On Ice' after finding himself in the skate-off alongside Heidi Range on Sunday (08.01.12) - can't understand why the dance expert awarded him and professional partner Maria Filippov just 3.5 points compared with the 5.5 and 5.0 the couple were scored by skating legends Katarina Witt and Robin Cousins.
He said: "I was shocked by his reaction to me - perhaps he doesn't like me. Perhaps I'm not his type.
"I ain't pretty, but I'm not bad either. I don't know what the agenda was."
Andy was particularly annoyed as Louie cited his lack of rhythm and limited dancing skills as the reason for his low score, which the presenter feels to be unfair criticism.
He said: "One of the hardest things was being marked on my dancing, which was one of the things I felt most passionate about. I've never been a trained dancer but I just thought I'd give it some welly.
"I was told my rhythm wasn't there and the dancing wasn't there. If anything, I thought the music was there - our routine was fun and I gave everything. I stretched myself and pushed myself to another level."
Louie had previously admitted he would give higher scores to contestants he found attractive.
He said: "If it's all in place, if they hit the right line and it's all toned, there may be an extra point in there."
