Maria Fowler has quit 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The 25-year-old beauty - who has appeared in a minor role in the ITV2 reality show since the first series - has decided to leave the programme as she prepares to embark on a "new chapter" in her life.
She said in a statement on twitter: "I would like to be the first to announce... After a rollercoaster year and after meeting with producers today we have decided that my time on TOWIE has come to an end.
"I am happy to be leaving the show on a high after 3 series and feel I am embarking on a new chapter in my life with exciting projects both personal and professional.
"Thank you for all your support during my time on the show and I hope to continue to keep you all entertained throughout 2012!! (sic)"
However, Maria isn't the only 'TOWIE' star not to be returning for the upcoming fourth series.
Mark Wright quit the show earlier this year to appear in 'I'm A Celebrity . Get Me Out Of Here!', while Kirk Norcross departed to feature on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
Elsewhere, Sam Faiers, Harry Derbridge and Lauren Pope are believed to have been given the chop by producers to make way for new talent.
A source recently explained: "There is a big 'TOWIE' shake-up happening for series four. Bosses are keen to keep the format fresh. Producers have already been scouting for great people around Essex.
"Producers are keen to make series four as exciting as possible. Series three was the highest rated so far and they're keen to build on that."
