Kym Marsh eyes Corrie musical role
Kym Marsh would ''love'' to appear in the upcoming 'Coronation Street: The Musical'
Kym Marsh wants to appear in 'Coronation Street: The Musical'.
The 35-year-old actress - who plays Michelle Connor in the ITV1 soap - explained while she couldn't be in the stage version of 'Corrie' on a full-time basis because of her nine-month-old baby daughter Polly, she would "love" to take part in a few of the shows.
She said: "A 'Coronation Street' musical is planned for March and I'd love to do a few of the shows. I couldn't be in it full-time though as I've already had ten months off to have Polly, so I wouldn't want to take another break from the show.
"'Corrie' legend Julie Goodyear, who played Bet Lynch, is involved - how exciting! She's got quite a fearsome reputation, has Julie, but I can only speak as I find and she's always been perfectly alright with me."
Meanwhile, Kym was recently touched to receive a message from co-star Helen Flanagan - who recently filmed her exit scenes as Rosie Webster - telling her she had been like a "big sister" to the younger actress.
Writing in her column for new! magazine, she added: "I got a lovely tweet from Helen Flanagan after she filmed her last scenes. I think I've been like a big sister to her at times. I told her that I don't want her to be exploited in the future as it would be very easy from someone to stick her in a swimsuit and send her on the wrong path.
"But I'm sure she'll do really well. I know I'm going to miss her, she's an absolute delight."
