Tulisa Contostavlos spent £9,000 celebrating her friend's birthday.
The 23-year-old singer partied at London's exclusive Mahiki club on Wednesday (21.12.11) in honour of her pal Gareth Varley's big day, as well as commemorating the end of her working as a judge on 'The X Factor' and landing a deal to write an autobiography.
Tulisa and her friends spent six hours at the nightspot, with her splashing out on their signature treasure chest cocktails and bottles of rum.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Tulisa wanted to thank her friends for being her rocks during the show.
"She was delighted to get the book deal and it coincided with Gareth's birthday, right before Christmas and just after 'The X Factor' - so she could finally let her hair down."
It was revealed earlier this week that Tulisa will start work on her autobiography in January and it will tell the story of her life from her childhood through to her incredible success with N-Dubz and her landing a judging role on 'The X Factor'.
A source said: "She has an incredible story to tell - some of which has never been written about - and it's a unique opportunity to set the record straight.
"Tulisa's famed for being open and up front, saying it as she sees it. There will be no skeletons left in her closet. Three major publishing houses are all desperate to sign her up, not least because of the success rate of books by former 'X Factor' judges."
Tulisa - who is dating her N-Dubz bandmate Fazer - has agreed for photos from her youth to be published and the book is expected to be released at the time 'The X Factor' returns to screens in 2012.
