Christine Bleakley's turkey ban for Frank
Christine Bleakley's mum has banned her footballer fiance Frank Lampard from carving the Christmas turkey.
Christine Bleakley's mum has banned Frank Lampard from carving the Christmas turkey.
The 'Dancing On Ice' presenter - who is engaged to the England and Chelsea footballer - explained her mother refuses to devolve any power over the traditional meal and so when the pair return to her native Northern Ireland, they won't be allowed "anywhere near" the festive bird.
Christine told BANG Showbiz: "My mum will not let Frank anywhere near the turkey. He'll be with his feet up in front of the telly, he'll certainly be enjoying eating it though. She's a fantastic cook."
The couple will be enjoying a "very low-key traditional Christmas" of "watching telly and chilling out", but Christine admitted she and her sister will be staying away from the kitchen as they are both "utterly useless" in that department.
She said: "I'll be having very low-key, traditional family Christmas. Mum does all the cooking and as much as we try to help, she always ends up shooing us back out of the kitchen as my sister and I are utterly useless. So she takes over.
"We'll just be watching the telly and chilling out, eating Christmas dinner and generally relaxing."
