Britain's Prince Harry exudes a ''Mediterranean passion'', according to Dame Edna Everage.

Dame Edna Everage has joked that Prince Harry has a "Mediterranean passion".

The eccentric character - created and played by Australian comedian, Barry Humphries - is currently appearing in the pantomime 'Dick Whittington' at the New Wimbledon Theatre in London and revealed the flame haired royal has caught her eye while she is staying in the UK capital.

During the show, she joked: "I'm staying in London. I'm staying with Prince Harry at the moment, who has a Mediterranean passion about him which is unusual in a ginger ... and in a royal."

Edna also poked fun at 27-year-old Harry's grandmother Queen Elizabeth, claiming the monarch, 85, would be skipping the London 2012 Olympics because they clash with her TV watching schedule.

She said: "I'm going to the Olympics. A good friend has managed to squeeze me into the royal box. Unfortunately the queen and Prince Philip won't be there for the opening ceremony because it clashes with 'Come Dine With Me'.
