Caroline Flack and Olly Murs have impressed ITV2 bosses with their stint on 'The Xtra Factor'.
Series executives are said to be "delighted" with the way the duo - who replaced axed Konnie Huq on the 'X Factor' spin-off show this year - were received by the public, and are even considering moving Caroline into a "primetime" presenting slot in 2012.
An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "ITV bosses have said they're delighted with the response Caroline and Olly Murs got on 'The Xtra Factor'.
"There's talk of moving her into primetime in spring 2012."
However, 'Thinking Of Me' hitmaker Olly - who finished second in 'The X Factor' in 2009 - is said to be uncertain about returning to the series for a second season next year, as he wants to put his pop career before his presenting duties.
Caroline recently said: "Olly isn't certain about coming back. His heart is in being a pop star. But I definitely want to come back and I want him to return as well."
When he took the job, the singer admitted he accepted the role from 'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell because he thought he "owed" the show.
Olly explained: "I've always thought presenting looked like a cool job, and I had a few offers from other shows, but they didn't feel right. This did, because it's back where I started. In a way, I owe them - they own me."
