Rosie Webster to dump Jason for TV fame
'Coronation Street's Rosie Webster is set to sensationally dump boyfriend Jason Grimshaw before leaving Weatherfield for London to star in a 'Big Brother'-style reality TV show
'Coronation Street's Rosie Webster is set to dump Jason Grimshaw just before she leaves Weatherfield.
The brunette beauty - who is portrayed by Helen Flanagan - will flee to London when she agrees to appear in a 'Big Brother'-style reality TV show, but she is told to be single for the programme so she ends her relationship with the hunky builder (Ryan Thomas).
She tells him: "I'm sorry Jason but I don't want you to come with me.
"I can only go on TV if I'm single. And they've warned me if they find out I've got a boyfriend they'll kick me off."
Rosie's revelation leaves Jason heartbroken and he hits out at the model, calling her "disgusting".
According to the Daily Star, he says: "I think you're disgusting. If you can just dump me after all we've been through together then I'm better off without you."
And her sister Sophie - who is played by Brooke Vincent - also slams her sibling, saying: "How could you just dump him so you can appear in a rubbish TV show where you'll have to show yourself up by throwing yourself at men you don't even know?"
Despite their outbursts, Rosie's parents Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) are thrilled she is leaving Weatherfield to seek fame and fortune.
Sally tells her: "Don't forget if things don't work out you'll always be welcome back."
ITV bosses have left the door open for Helen to come back to the show, with the 21-year-old star - who is dating Swansea City footballer Scott Sinclair - leaving to pursue other TV projects.
