David Hasselhoff loved BGT
David Hasselhoff ''loved every minute'' of being a judge on 'Britain's Got Talent' but admits it's a very tough job.
David Hasselhoff "loved every minute" of being a judge on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The US star joined comedian Michael McIntyre and actress Amanda Holden on the search for the UK's best talent in 2011, and claims he beat producers "to the punch" by leaving the show before he was asked to leave.
He said: "I have nothing but fond feelings for Simon Cowell and the team. But it's a hell of a job. During those audition rounds you're working 10am to 10pm. You're in the car, travelling all over Britain, watching 80 acts a day and people whistling through their nose.
"Don't get me wrong, I loved every minute, but after a while you feel like you're going crazy.
"I kind of beat them to the punch in the end. Although I was being told, 'We love you, we want you back,' they left it so late until they confirmed it that I'd booked other work."
Now, David is happy to spend his time with new love, 32-year-old Welsh shop worker Hayley Roberts.
He told Hello! magazine: "Hayley is unlike any other woman I've had in my life, in that she really doesn't want anything from me.
"I bought her a beautiful pair of earrings that were quite expensive because I thought they were pretty, but she's too scared to wear them. That's really endearing."
