Amelia Lily was voted off 'The X Factor' last night (10.12.11), leaving girl group Little Mix and Marcus Collins battling it out in tonight's grand finale

Amelia Lily was voted off 'The X Factor' last night (10.12.11).

The 17-year-old hopeful - who had been dubbed the 'comeback kid' after being eliminated from the competition in its first week, only to return to replace axed Frankie Cocozza - wowed with a rendition of 'Ain't No Other Man' before taking to the stage alongside mentor Kelly Rowland to perform a duet of 'River Deep, Mountain High'.

Leaving girl group Little Mix and Marcus Collins set to battle it out in tonight's (11.12.11) final show, Amelia vowed it would not be the last of her.

She told a crowd of 10,000 at London's Wembley Arena: "Can I just say thank you to everyone who voted me back in to the competition. My ambition was to get to the final and I did it. And this isn't the last of Amelia Lily!

"Tonight was the best night of my life and the best moment was performing with Kelly Rowland herself."

Kelly added: "She's only 17 and look how incredibly bright her future is. she's an absolute star."

Meanwhile, show boss Simon Cowell - who quit the series to launch the US version of 'The X Factor' this year - is backing Little Mix to win the competition, admitting Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Perrie Edwards are a "revelation".

Speaking on ITV2 spin-off show 'The Xtra Factor' from his home in Los Angeles via satellite link, he said: "Little Mix are a revelation and if a girl group were to win the show, it makes history. If I had to pick someone - no question of a doubt, Little Mix won the night.

"Watching the final really made me miss being back in Britain. It was absolutely amazing. One of the best finals I have ever seen and I wasn't on it!"

However, angry Little Mix fans have claimed the abolition of text voting in favour of more expensive phone voting on last night's show could disadvantage the girl band because of their young follower base.

One supporter said on their twitter page: "No text voting tonight on #xfactor = Little Mix screwed. (sic)"
