Kim Cattrall up for BGT judging role
'Sex and the City' actress Kim Cattrall has reportedly entered the battle to land a judging role on 'Britain's Got Talent'
Kim Cattrall is in talks to be a judge on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The 'Sex and the City' actress reportedly faces a battle with ex-'EastEnders' star Samantha Womack and former 'X Factor' judge Dannii Minogue to join the panel of the show following the departure of US actor David Hasselhoff and comedian Michael McIntyre after just one series. A source told The Sun newspaper: "We love Kim. She might be best known for her American TV shows but she was born in Liverpool and spent a lot of time here in Britain.
"She gets our sensibilities in the way The Hoff never could."
Simon Cowell has been confirmed as returning to the show, and is expected to be joined by existing panelist Amanda Holden and 'Little Britain' star David Walliams, and programme chiefs are now planning to extend the panel to four.
In addition, producers are considering moving the programme's base from its current Wembley studio to Pinewood in Buckinghamshire in order to boost its chances of success after a lacklustre performance in the ratings last series.
The source added: "Some of the new acts are on such a grand scale that we are considering moving to a bigger studio.
"We want the show to return to its former glory."
