The new albums from rivals 50 Cent and Kanye West are on course to be released on the same date; with the latter making it clear the timing of his delayed offering will not change to avoid the clash. Speaking to MTV this week, West commented he would rather make the headlines for being up against Fiddy than making number one. “It’s about things going down in history. There’s not much exciting stuff in hip hop right now. I think people are going to make it more than what I’m making myself. At the end of the day, I’m making music and I’m trying to sell it.” Both albums will be available on September 11.
