Mark Wright got over Lauren thanks to Andre
Mark Wright says talking to Peter Andre during the singer's short spell on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' made him realise he just wants to be friends with ex-fiancee Lauren Goodger
Mark Wright says Peter Andre's appearance on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' helped him get over ex-fiancee Lauren Goodger.
The former 'The Only Way is Essex' hunk - who recently split from his former co-star after a 10-year on/off relationship - shared a private chat with the 'Mysterious Girl' hitmaker during Peter's short spell on the Australian jungle-based programme, which make him realise he should just be friends with the brunette star.
Mark said: "I must admit, it's still in my head that I don't want to move on so fast. And I'll probably always love Lauren because I've done everything with her - we grew up together - but I know it's just not right and I have to move on.
"And going to the jungle really helped me, you know, I didn't have my phone, I didn't have anyone to talk to really about her until Peter Andre turned up, and then it made me just realise what I want out of life and that we can be friends.
"When you're there you just don't want any enemies and I don't want any hard feeling between us and I just wanted to get out and be friends, and that's what we've done. She congratulated me, which was nice, I said thank you and we'll move forward hopefully."
But the nightclub promoter has ruled out a relationship with his 'I'm A Celebrity' campmate Emily Scott, despite flirting with her in the jungle.
He told UK TV show 'Daybreak': "Emily's a gorgeous girl and a lovely person, but it just wasn't like that. It was friendly flirting and I don't think at this point there will be a future as a romantic duo.
"I don't like predicting the future.who knows?"
