Peter Andre was emotional in I'm A Celeb
Peter Andre has revealed got a bit emotional when thinking about his former wife Katie Price when he returned to 'I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me out of Here'.
Peter Andre was "a bit sad" when he thought about his ex-wife Katie Price during his day in 'I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me out of Here'.
The singer and TV star returned to the Australian jungle camp to spend a day with the contestants last week, and admitted he got a little emotional when he thought about Katie, whom he met when they both appeared on the show in 2004.
Writing in his Planet Pete column in new! magazine, he said: "Obviously, I thought a bit about my ex-wife and the past when I was in the jungle, but I looked back on what we had with nothing but fond memories."
Referring to their children Junior, six, and four-year-old Princess Tiaamii, he added: "It made me feel a bit sad that things didn't work out and I wish it hadn't ended the way it did, but when I think about the beautiful children we had as a result of being on the show, I have no regrets.
"I know I made the right decision in my life and I could never go back, but I do really hope we'll be friends."
Peter added that while he made a joke that you should never had a jungle romance, it was scripted and not serious, although he hinted he hasn't been in close contact with Katie recently.
He said: "I texted Kate to warn her [about the joke] as I wanted her to know that it was only a bit of fun, but I don't think she was watching anyway.
"I got so much abuse on twitter afterwards, as people thought I was being disrespectful to my marriage! I can assure you I wasn't, I was only messing around!
"Talking of twitter, I've been asked about the message Kate sent me, telling me to remember what she'd said before going into the jungle. To be honest, I don't know what she was referring to."
