Robbie Savage has been voted off 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The former soccer star and professional partner Ola Jordan narrowly missed out on a place in the show's semi-finals next week after being dismissed from the competition last night (04.12.11) when their quickstep failed to impress.

The pair - who came bottom of the leaderboard with 30 points on Saturday (03.12.11) - found themselves in the bottom two alongside Jason Donovan and Kristina Rihanoff, whose position came as a shock as they had scored highly the following evening, earning third place.

Speaking afterwards, Robbie said he hoped the show had changed people's perceptions of him.

He said: "People didn't know who I was before I came to this show, I wasn't a nice person on the football pitch and hopefully I've changed people's perceptions of me. I am just a normal, decent guy."

Robbie later took to twitter to thank the 'Strictly' staff.

He said: "Thank you to everyone in strictly the runners, make up, costume, press ,#itt2 camera men, Fifi , moira Daisey , in fact everyone x thank you (sic)"

The remaining couples, 'Waterloo Road' actress Chelsee Healey and Pasha Kovalev, McFly drummer Harry Judd and Aliona Vilani, former 'Neighbours' star Holly Valance and Artem Chigvintsev, 'The One Show host Alex Jones and James Jordan and Jason and Kristina will compete in next week's semi-final.

While Harry is delighted to have made the semi-final, he admitted he is upset to see his pal go.

He tweeted: "Arrrggh! Semi-finals! Thanks for everyone who voted again! Shame to see @RobbieSavage8 go. Very gracious exit. Absolute legend (sic)"
