will.i.am confirmed for The Voice
Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am has been confirmed as the second judge on 'The Voice', joining Jessie J and two as-yet announced celebrities
will.i.am is the second star to be confirmed as a judge on 'The Voice'.
The Black Eyed Peas frontman joins 'Price Tag' hitmaker Jessie J on the panel of BBC One's forthcoming star-search show - which sees contestants judged on the strength of their vocals rather than their image - alongside two other as-yet announced stars.
Speaking of his appointment to the show - a UK version of the hit US format - he said: "I'm proud to be doing 'The Voice' UK because the UK was the first place I saw success. It's the place I'm the most creative outside of home."
Meanwhile, BBC bosses are thrilled to have the 'I Got A Feeling' hitmaker on board.
BBC One Controller Danny Cohen said: "I am thrilled that will.i.am has signed up to be a Coach on 'The Voice'. He is a huge star who will bring a unique creativity to the show."
'The Voice' will be presented by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates and is expected to air in March 2012.
Sir Tom Jones and Will Young have been tipped to take the two remaining slots on the judging panel.
