Ruth Jones promises more Gavin and Stacey
Ruth Jones has promised to make another 'Gavin and Stacey' festive special in the near future.
Ruth Jones has promised to make more 'Gavin and Stacey'.
The Welsh actress - who played loudmouth Nessa Jones in the hit BBC sit-com - and co-creator James Corden had intended to write a Christmas special this year, but both were too busy.
However, she has vowed to pen a festive one-off in the near future.
She said: "We will definitely be doing another 'Gavin and Stacey'. There was just too much occurring! We want to do a Christmas special but it keeps getting moved back.
"I would have liked to have done it this year, I have a new 10-part series and James has just started a play and has just become a dad, so we have been busy."
For the time being, Ruth is about to star in new Sky1 show 'Stella', in which she plays a struggling single mother and admits the show is very different to 'Gavin and Stacey'.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "We wanted to get away from 'Gavin And Stacey', and Stella is a very different character from Nessa.
'Gavin and Stacey' came to an end after three series and a Christmas special at the beginning of January 2010.
