Carley Stenson is to return to 'Hollyoaks' over the Christmas period.
Despite the actress' alter-ego Steph Roach dying in a fire earlier this year, the blonde beauty will appear as an Angel in order to stop Doug Carter from taking his own life.
As the festive season approaches, the former drug dealer (PJ Brennan) becomes increasingly lonely as his friends head home for the holidays and he starts to wonder whether it's worth carrying on.
In a shocking turn of events, Doug jumps from a bridge, only to find himself back in his flat with a heavenly vision before him - Steph.
Angel Steph is charged with the mission of making Doug realise the positive impact he's had on Hollyoaks village as without his influence, one teenage resident is pregnant, while another character is a broken man having lost his loved ones at the hands of Silas.
However, she also shows him that his beloved girlfriend Becks (Daisy Turner) would still be alive if he had never arrived in Chester.
Viewers are then left wondering whether Doug returns to 'Hollyoaks' to save the fate of his friends or go to heaven and save Becks' life.
The episode will be aired on Channel 4 on December 26.
