SpiralFrog signs up another major music label

EMI is following in the footsteps of Universal Music, agreeing to a deal which will see its entire music catalogue made available on a new ad-supported music download service. The music label will offer its catalogue on the soon-to-be-launched SpiralFrog service in an effort to offset losses created by a shift in consumer purchasing power. EMI’s co-CEO Roger Faxon said: “It is a very exciting concept which fuses advertising with music downloads and other services to recapture consumer demand which has been hijacked by online piracy.”
