Little Mix are keen to prove 'X Factor' head judge Gary Barlow wrong by singing an acoustic song on this weekend's Heroes and Guilty Pleasures-themed show

Little Mix are keen to prove Gary Barlow wrong by singing an acoustic song on this weekend's 'X Factor'.

After the head judge slammed the girl band's performance on Saturday's show (18.11.11) as "predictable", the four-piece group - Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock - are determined to show off a different side during the Heroes and Guilty Pleasures-themed episode.

Jesy told BANG Showbiz: "We've got two songs this week and they both show a different side of us. Gary said he wanted to hear more of the vocals and that's what he's going to get.

"There's going to be no dancing on one of the songs whatsoever. Literally just singing. And one of the songs is going to be a bit of fun, a mash-up."

With Coldplay and Canadian crooner Michael Buble already reportedly signed up to perform during the final of the ITV1 show next month, Little Mix are keen to share the 'X Factor' stage with 'Price Tag' hitmaker Jessie J, who assisted their mentor Tulisa Contostavlos at the Judges' Houses stage of the competition.

Speaking at InStyle magazine's 10th anniversary party at London's Sanctum Soho Hotel last night (22.11.11), Jade said: "We'd love to make it to the final. We've just got to keep working hard and see how it goes. We want to perform with Jessie J.

"She's so inspirational. From her songs to the way she performs, she's just the most amazing performer ever. She really means a lot to us."

Jesy added: "If not Jessie J, then Tulisa. We love Tulisa, it would be amazing."
