Emma Bunton and Jason Gardiner could be axed from 'Dancing On Ice' in a proposed shake up of the ITV1 show
Emma Bunton and Jason Gardiner face the axe from 'Dancing On Ice'.
Programme chiefs are planning a shake-up of the celebrity skating contest and the two stars have not yet been offered a new contract to return to the judging panel of the ITV1 series, despite the show returning in just two months' time.
Head panellist Robin Cousins is believed to be the only judge whose job is safe because of his skating expertise and knowledge.
A source said: "This year's judging line-up is being taken to the wire. Producers want to refresh things and Jason and Emma look the most vulnerable.
"The show has been running for several years and like all ITV shows they are overhauled occasionally to keep viewers interested."
However, insiders have claimed former Spice Girl Emma - who replaced head coach Karen Barber on the panel in 2010 - isn't too worried if she doesn't return to the show.
A source told the Sun newspaper: "She is still talking to them but she hasn't had an offer. Emma has other things in the pipeline anyway."
Controversial Jason's future has been in doubt for some time following 3,000 viewer complaints received over his verbal attack on Karen earlier this year.
It has already been announced that Christine Bleakley will replace Holly Willoughby as co-host alongside Phillip Schofield on the next series of the show.
