Steven Moffat's Doctor-filled birthday
Matt Smith has revealed 'Doctor Who' showrunner Steven Moffat celebrated his birthday with three Doctors on Saturday night (19.11.11)
'Doctor Who' showrunner Steven Moffat celebrated his birthday with three Time Lords.
The writer-and-producer turned 50 on Friday (18.11.11) and was joined by Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith, Tenth Doctor David Tennant and Fifth Doctor Peter Davison at his party on Saturday night (19.11.11), and Matt has revealed he was thrilled to have three TARDIS occupants with him on his big day.
The 29-year-old actor also gets excited to meet the other Doctors, and often forgets that he plays the time traveller himself.
Matt told 'BBC Breakfast': "I saw David on Saturday it was Steven Moffat's birthday party. I was like, 'It's Doctor Who!' I saw Peter Davison as well who was at the same party. Steven was very excited that there was more than one Doctor there. And I can't help but go, 'Oh my God. It's Doctor Who!' But then I realise I'm the Doctor."
The actor also revealed Steven was dancing at one point, something that brought a smile to his face.
Referring to the party, he told BBC Radio 1: "Steven was in his element. He was dancing."
At the bash David - who left the BBC sci-fi series in 2009 - told Matt how much he is enjoying him in the role, something which the actor appreciated.
He added: "He said he was enjoying it, he's a mate David so it was lovely to see him, although it's quite strange really . David's a lovely man and a brilliant actor."
