TOWIE: The Movie
'The Only Way Is Essex' is to be made into a movie, with show bosses reportedly planning to cash in on the success of the reality series next year
'The Only Way Is Essex' is to be made into a movie.
Show bosses are reportedly planning a big screen version of the ITV2 reality show - which is to return for a fourth series in early 2012 - for next year, starring the likes of Joey Essex, Sam Faiers, James 'Arg' Argent, Nanny Pat, Jessica Wright and Chloe Sims.
Meanwhile, former stars Amy Childs and Mark Wright - who left 'TOWIE' to appear in 'Celebrity Big Brother' and 'I'm A Celebrity . Get Me Out Of Here!' respectively - will be asked to make cameo appearances in the movie, which could include a "wedding, a pregnancy and a divorce".
Sam Faiers told the Daily Star newspaper: "I think a movie would be funny. The film would have to contain drama, of course, more drama than there is in the show.
"There should be a wedding, a pregnancy, a divorce. Another affair!"
However, Lauren Goodger has hinted she could be the latest star to depart 'TOWIE' after admitting having her painful split from former fiance and on-off boyfriend of 10 years, Mark Wright, documented throughout the third series of the show was "really tough".
She said: "In the beginning the show was a real laugh and we had fun. But the last series has been really tough.
"It's horrible going through any break up but it's even worse doing it in front of the cameras. Maybe it's time for me to move on."
