Phillip Schofield has revealed Christine Bleakley is to replace Holly Willoughby as co-host of the next series of 'Dancing On Ice'.

Christine Bleakley will host the next series of 'Dancing On Ice'.

The 'Daybreak' presenter will front the celebrity skating contest alongside Phillip Schofield after Holly Willoughby decided not to renew her contract due to other "work commitments".

Phillip revealed the news on twitter, saying: "Just to keep you in the loop, @hollywills won't be presenting Dancing on Ice due to new commitments @clbleakley will step into the rink."

Holly refused to explain why she is not returning to the show, but promised fans will find out soon.

Asked by a fan why she isn't hosting the next series, she tweeted: "you'll have to wait until next week xxx No, I'm not pregnant."

She also used her twitter page to pass on good wishes to her successor and admitted she will miss working on the programme.

She wrote: "Good luck to Christine Bleakley on this years Dancing on Ice. It's a truely magical show and you will love it. I'll miss you all very much(sic)"

Celebrities rumoured to be taking part in the next series of 'Dancing On Ice' - which returns to ITV1 in January - include singer Chesney Hawkes, Sugababes singer Heidi Range, TV presenter Keith Chegwin, fashion designer Sadie Frost and soap stars Jennifer Ellison, Andy Whyment, Laila Morse and Jorgie Porter.
