Brian Dowling admits he "struggled" hosting 'Big Brother'.
The Irish TV host - who took over from former presenter Davina McCall when the fly-on-the-wall series re-launched on Channel 5 this summer - explained while he initially found fronting the show a challenge, he really settled into his stride by the time the series drew to a close on Friday (11.11.11).
Brian exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Davina was always going to be big shoes to fill and I definitely struggled during the first few weeks. I had never claimed to be the new Davina but I was really unsure of myself.
"But as the evictions went on I really settled in to my stride and in the last few weeks particularly I became fully confident in my abilities."
Now 'Big Brother' has drawn to a close, Brian plans to treat himself to a luxurious holiday before returning to front the next series of 'Celebrity Big Brother' - which is rumoured to feature the likes of Lauren Goodger and Frankie Cocozza - in January.
He added: "I'm definitely going to be going on a nice holiday to relax and re-charge my batteries before all this madness begins again in January.
"I feel like I've been living in that house with the contestants the whole time, I've been through the highs and the lows with them."
