Frankie Cocozza was allegedly axed from 'The X Factor' after boasting about taking cocaine.
The 18-year-old lothario - who was kicked off the ITV1 show yesterday (09.11.11) - reportedly bragged about his drug-taking and womanising antics in front of senior production staff, who were then compelled to tell their bosses.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "Frankie has hung himself over this. He boasted about his crazy night out and thought it would be cool to talk about the drugs.
"He told a lot people he'd done it. I think he thinks it's no big deal. But to people who watch the show it's a huge deal. He's been extremely naive."
However, show boss Simon Cowell - who quit the judging panel earlier this year to launch the US version of 'The X Factor' warned the wannabe rocker has no-one to blame for his shock elimination but himself.
He said: "Frankie's blown a wonderful opportunity. It's very sad, but he has no one to blame but himself."
Meanwhile, Frankie has already been edited out of a new television advert for Marks and Spencer, which features the 'X Factor' finalists singing Disney classic 'When You Wish Upon A Star for the High Street chain's Christmas campaign.
A spokesperson for the store said: "Our ad will continue to be edited in the run-up to 'The X Factor' final to highlight the remaining contestants. Following his departure from the show, Frankie will not be profiled in future edits.
"Our agreement is with 'The X Factor' and not individual contestants."
