Johnny Robinson: I will die a happy man
Johnny Robinson will ''die a happy man'' after kissing his crush Gary Barlow live on 'The X Factor'
Johnny Robinson will "die a happy man" after kissing Gary Barlow on 'The X Factor'.
The 45-year-old singer - who was voted off the ITV1 show in last night's (06.11.11) double eviction - explained while he never thought he would succeed as a pop star, he is thrilled to have struck up such a bond with the object of his affections during his time in the competition.
Johnny exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Gary was lovely and it was a pleasure to meet the man. I had quite a few kisses from Gary behind the scenes, it wasn't just the one everyone saw.
"He used to pop to the house and we'd have a cuddle when he walked through the door before I made him a cup of tea. If I die tomorrow, at least I'll die a happy man.
"I didn't think anyone would like me for the way I am. I thought I was too old, not good looking enough, not like your traditional pop star, too ugly. But I just went on there and did the best I could. I just sung my little heart out."
The eccentric hopeful explained he will miss the "little comforts" of the Hertfordshire mansion he shared with the other 'X Factor' contestants, as he now has to return to his bedsit.
However, he is hopeful he has changed his life for the better, and is keen to bag a pantomime role as "the back end of a horse".
Johnny said: "I'll miss all the little comforts of the house because where I live is just a bedsit and all that. There was a proper nice big shower and I had a proper bed for the first time so that was nice. I had 12 weeks to change my life.
"I can hold my head up high that I got as far as I did and hopefully I might get a little something out of it. Perhaps panto or something, I'm quite happy being the back end of a horse.
"I would love to do 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!' if they thought I was worthy of it. That would be great. I'm just not sure what will be on the table for me."
