The Risk 'jinxed' by Ashford?
The X Factor's Ashford Campbell thinks he ''jinxed'' The Risk when he replaced Ashley Baptiste in the boyband two weeks ago
Ashford Campbell thinks he "jinxed" The Risk.
The 19-year-old singer - who replaced Ashley Baptiste in the band two weeks ago after his group Nu Vibe were eliminated in the second week of the live shows - explained being voted off the ITV1 show for a second time last night (06.11.11) was a painful experience.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I think mentally I was more prepared for it this time, but it still hurts the same - if not more so - to have been given a second chance and then have to leave again.
"I think I must have jinxed the group or something."
Despite The Risk - also featuring Charlie Healy, Andy Merry and Derry Mensah - being voted off 'The X Factor' in last night's double elimination, the group are hoping to join mentor Tulisa Contostavlos' band N-Dubz on tour next year.
Andy explained: "We're determined to make this work because we don't want to go back to our ordinary jobs.
"Tulisa was brilliant. She looked after us so well and we couldn't have asked for a better mentor. Hopefully she'll continue to help us - we spoke to her last night and she said she's going to help as much as she can. She said she's going to try and get us a slot on her tour. "
