Dermot O'Leary's chef dreams
X Factor' host Dermot O'Leary wants to train as a chef because he regrets not doing it when he was younger
Dermot O'Leary could be set to become the next Gordon Ramsey - as he wants to become a chef.
The 'X Factor' host - who co-owns two restaurants - admits he regrets not getting more qualifications when he was younger, and would like to return to college to train in kitchen.
He said: "I only got GCSEs in English lit and drama. I was really distracted at school. I still want to do the qualifications to be a chef."
But before he turns his hand to culinary talents, Dermot, 38, is concentrating on 'The X Factor' and is pleased with how well the ITV1 show is doing, despite critics slamming this year's series as "boring".
Dermot - who lost out to fellow Brit Steve Jones to present the US version of the show - said: "It is still the biggest 'X Factor' in the world so we are happy with that."
The star also revealed he wants children with Norwegian girlfriend Dee Koppang, and his is learning her language in preparation for when the pair have their own brood.
He added in an interview on 'Alan Carr's Chatty Man' show: "I don't want them to have a secret language they speak to their mum so I thought I better get my skates on."
