Geordie Shore's cast have slammed proposals for a Liverpool-based version of the show.
While the MTV reality series is based on US programme 'Jersey Shore', star Gaz Beadle thinks plans for a similar show - entitled 'Mersey Shore' - would be "ridiculous".
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "They're just going to get compared to us. I think there's the American version and the English version and that's how it should be.
"If you bring another one out in the UK they'll just get unfairly compared to us. There'll be a lad trying to pull the girls and people will be saying, 'Who are you trying to be? Gaz' or there'll be a girl trying to be Charlotte and failing.
"People will try and compare them to us all the time and I don't think it's going to work. The UK is too small for it, next there'll be 'The Only Way Is Brighton' and 'Glasgow Shore'. It's ridiculous."
Despite 'Geordie Shore' capturing Gaz and his fellow housemates boozing, brawling and bedding a whole host of women, the hunk insists his parents "love" the show.
He added: "They love it. Some of the scenes they don't like to watch.
"There's no hiding anything from them anymore, they now know exactly what's going on. I'm sure most mothers know what their kids get up to but how many of them actually get to see it in graphic detail?"
'Geordie Shore' Season One is out on DVD on November 7.
