Sophie Habibis admits Kelly Rowland's absence from 'The X Factor' was "hard" this week.
The 19-year-old barmaid - who was eliminated from the ITV1 show last night (30.10.11) - explained while she was unhappy with her performance on Saturday's Halloween-themed episode, she just had to "get on with it" as her mentor was struck down with a mystery throat infection in her native US.
Sophie exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It was a bit of a test for me to see if I could do it or not. I was disappointed with my performance, but I don't think that was anything to do with Kelly not being there. She was there in spirit and we were talking on the phone a lot.
"It was obviously hard not having her there but I just had to get on with it."
Despite the former Destiny's Child singer voting to keep Misha B in the competition, Sophie holds no hard feelings as she accepts making "tough decisions" are part of Kelly's job as an 'X Factor' judge.
She said: "At the end of the day, it's her job. Tough choices are going to come up and it's going to be hard for anyone.
"Of course you want your judge to love you but her choice is her choice and I value her opinion. Everything happens for a reason, this is not the end of me. I'm proud of myself and I've worked hard. I've gone from singing in my bedroom to being on one of the biggest live TV shows in the UK."
