Kelly Rowland pulls out of Saturday's X Factor
'X Factor' judge Kelly Rowland has pulled out of the live show tomorrow night (29.10.11) after being told by doctors she couldn't fly back to London from Los Angeles because of a throat infection.
Kelly Rowland has pulled out of 'The X Factor' tomorrow night (29.10.11) after being struck down by illness.
The judge had flown back to Los Angeles this week for a planned work trip following last Saturday's show which saw her clash with fellow panellists Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh over their accusations her act Misha B had been bullying other contestants.
After leaving her three girls - Sophie Habibis, Janet Devlin and Misha - to prepare for their performances without her help this week, Kelly, 30, contacted bosses to inform them she would not be able to appear this weekend after contracting a throat infection and had been told by her doctors not to fly back.
A spokesman for the former Destiny's Child star said: "Kelly is devastated she won't be here for this weekend's show. She is extremely ill with a viral throat infection and her doctors aren't permitting her to fly. Kelly will be returning to the show as soon as she has recovered. The girls have been in touch to wish her speedy recovery and they can't wait for her to get back. More news as we have it."
Bosses are now searching for someone to take her place on the panel alongside Gary Barlow, Louis and Tulisa, with US 'X Factor' judge Nicole Scherzinger - who is scheduled to perform on the results show on Sunday night (30.10.11) - favourite to step into the hot step.
However, backstage sources claim ITV chiefs are very unhappy with Kelly's no-show.
An insider told the Daily Mail newspaper: "Quite honestly, it's expected that the judges would have to be on their death bed to miss a show. The fact that Kelly has a throat infection hardly seems that desperate.
"The producers are less than impressed and we've have had less than 24 hours to pick someone to stand in for her."
