Matt Cardle backs Louis Walsh
Matt Cardle thinks 'X Factor' judge Louis Walsh should be taken more seriously, despite him making some ''funny decisions'' on the ITV1 show
Matt Cardle thinks Louis Walsh should be taken more seriously.
The 'X Factor' winner can't understand the criticism the Irishman - who is the only remaining original judge on the panel - receives, although he admits Louis does make some "funny" decisions on the programme.
Asked if Louis should quit the ITV1 show, Matt told BANG Showbiz: "I think Louis is great, he's the longest-running judge, people should take him a bit more seriously at times.
"He does make some funny decisions, but he is who he is and the show is great."
Matt has been tuning in to this year's show and is a fan of Sophie Habibis and Janet Devlin from the Girls category, boy band The Risk - who were put together in the Judges' Houses stage of the competition - and the boys' category's Craig Colton.
He explained: "I've seen bits of it, I've been really busy and not caught up as much as I've wanted to. I think Sophie is great and Janet and Craig, The Risk have don really well considering they've been thrown together."
The 'Run For Your Life' hitmaker also urged the contestants to take on board the feedback they receive from the judging panel - which also features Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland - each week.
Matt said: "Just listen to what the judges say and take it on board. If it's positive feedback then use it, if it's constructive criticism use it and if it's negative comments don't listen, just keep your head down and do the best you can."
