Kylie Minogue offered 1m for The Voice
Kylie Minogue has been offered £1 million to judge 'The Voice' alongside Jessie J and Tom Jones
Kylie Minogue has been offered £1 million to judge 'The Voice'.
Despite BBC chiefs putting up the huge pay cheque in the hope the Australian singer will sit on the panel of the new show alongside Jessie J and Sir Tom Jones, she is thought to have asked for more cash.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We have held initial discussions with her but unfortunately we are not yet at the stage where a deal has been done.
"We'd love to have her on the show but we can't offer the size contracts as 'The X Factor' so money could be a stumbling block."
It is believed Kylie, 43 - whose sister, Dannii, was a judge on 'The X Factor' until this year - has asked for around £2.5 million to appear on the show.
News of the huge pay offer is said to have infuriated BBC staff as 2,000 jobs are to be cut at the network in a bid to save money.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Great. Kylie gets another million quid and we get the sack."
Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am had previously been linked with a judging role on 'The Voice'.
A source recently said: "will.i.am is 95 per cent a done deal. He is a big star and loves nurturing new talent. He shoots from the lip, and will not be afraid to tell it like it is. Although I doubt 'The Voice' will be as bitchy as 'The X Factor'."
