Tamara Ecclestone's multi-millionaire family were against her appearing in new reality TV show 'Billion Dollar Girl'
Tamara Ecclestone's family were against her appearing in a reality TV show.
The multi-millionaire heiress - whose dad is Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone - explained she went against the wishes of her nearest and dearest to star in Channel 5 series 'Billion Dollar Girl', but she was keen to give people the "naked truth" about her life.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I know my friends and family didn't want me to do this but my argument is there are so many misconceptions about me, so many stories that aren't true.
"At least I finally get to give people the naked truth about my life. I look spotty, I get emotional, I make mistakes."
However, the 27-year-old socialite could also soon be hitting screens across the US, as she has reportedly impressed American TV network executives so much they are hoping to launch her as the "English Rose version of Paris Hilton".
A source said: "Tamara's going to Los Angeles in September and she's meeting with networks out there to discuss a reality TV show in the States. We have been approached by a number of networks keen to talk to Tamara about her own shows.
"While the US show will be primarily about Tamara, her family including sister Petra will make an appearance and hopefully some of her celebrity pals including Lisa Snowdon and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie."
