Kitty Brucknell's 126 X Factor votes
Eccentric 'X Factor' hopeful Kitty Brucknell reportedly spent over £50 voting for herself 126 times after Saturday night's (15.10.11) show.
Kitty Brucknell cast 126 votes for herself following Saturday night's (15.10.11) 'X Factor'.
The eccentric hopeful - who wowed judges Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland with her rendition of Bjork's 'It's Oh So Quiet' - reportedly spent at least £50 on voting for herself, as she was so convinced the public wouldn't back her and she would be send home.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Kitty was so convinced that she was going to get the shove on Sunday that she just started dialling her own number. It was a bit daft really - as you need thousands of votes to make a difference. But you can't blame her for trying.
"She is so desperate to stay in the show and, in fairness to her, the show kind of needs it. She's one of the only interesting acts on there."
Kitty sailed through to the next stage of the ITV1 competition on Sunday's (16.10.11) eviction show, leaving Frankie Cocozza and boy band Nu Vibe - who were eventually sent home - in the bottom two with the lowest votes.
Meanwhile Kitty - a former Britney Spears tribute act - is keen to outdo herself on this week's show with an exotic routine paying homage to her idol, who famously performed her track 'I'm a Slave 4 U' in a bikini with a 7ft albino python.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, she told her mentor Louis Walsh: "I want to perform as an Amazonian queen in the wild, surrounded by deadly creatures and shock everyone. Snakes, lions, tigers, bears, whatever you can find, I'm not scared.
"I want to do something viewers won't be able to stop talking about. No way can you go too far in a Kitty production. I will give performances on the 'X Factor' stage that no other contestant could dream of giving."
