Liam Gallagher "either refused to sing or couldn't sing" a track on Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' debut album.

The singer's brother, Noel, released his first new music since leaving Oasis - causing their split, in 2009 - today (17.10.11), and admitted two of the tracks for his latest project were originally meant for Oasis, but didn't make it onto any of their albums.

Speaking of the track '(I Wanna Live in a Dream in My) Record Machine', Noel told NME.com: "It was recorded for 'Don't Believe the Truth' but Liam either refused to sing it or couldn't sing it. I can't remember which one it was.

"Then we re-recorded it for [final Oasis album] 'Dig Out Your Soul' and it had a 100 piece choir on it. And for whatever reason - I think Liam had f***ed off home to get married or something - it wasn't finished. It's a shame Liam never got round to singing it. It's been sitting around for 10 years!"

Noel added the album's last track, 'Stop the Clocks', has a similar story behind it, and that he has no plans to play it live because it is too difficult to sing.

He added: "Again that was recorded for two Oasis records but never finished. It's a bit of a lament, the reason I went with it in the end because the end bit is amazing but I'm not playing it live because I struggled to sing it in the studio."
