Kitty Brucknell slammed her haters before performing on last night's (15.10.11) 'X Factor'.
The controversial hopeful - who has previously revealed she had to dye her hair blonde after being bullied throughout her teens for having ginger hair - hit out to those who booed her on last week's show, saying they should be "ashamed".
Kitty - who wowed the judges with a rendition of Bjork's 'Oh So Quiet' last night - announced to the crowd: "The people who booed me last week should be ashamed of themselves.
"Anyone who's ever been booed knows how horrible it feels.
"It was the first time I have been bullied like that since I was a child. It took me to a very dark place."
The 26-year-old blonde revealed Queen guitarist Brian May had praised her performance of his band's hit 'Who Wants to Live Forever' last week, which led to her crying "tears of happiness for an hour".
She added: "I love Queen and they're one of my idols. I couldn't quite believe he'd written it about me. I was shocked."
Meanwhile, Janet Devlin - who had decided to perform despite the passing of her grandfather earlier in the week - received praise from the judges for her rendition of Elvis' 'Can't Help Falling in Love'.
Tulisa told her: "No one could have sung that song like you."
Gary added: "You're an absolute one off - you're a great translator of music."
Boy band Nu Vibe failed to impress the judges with their version of U2's 'With or Without You' during the show - which took on a theme of "love and heartache" - with Louis Walsh telling them: "There's something missing, there's no vibe."
But the group's mentor Tulisa Contostavlos thought their performance was an improvement on last week, saying: "Vocally, you sounded so much better."
