RBS Museum Lates brings you the chance to experience the National Museum of Scotland in a completely different light with a brand new initiative opening the Museum to the public late at night.

Ever explored a museum at night? Ever had a cocktail surrounded by thousands of years of history? Ever been to a silent disco with a Chinese dragon? Thanks to the support of RBS and The List, the National Museum of Scotland is bringing you an exclusive chance to do all these things and explore the bigger, better National Museum at night with RBS Museum Lates.

You can say goodbye to the screaming kids for a start - this event is for over 18s only. Discover all the museum has to offer after dark with a chilled mix of DJs, bands, food, drinks and one or two surprises! Tickets are selling fast so get them while you can to be part of Edinburgh's hottest new night out.

The first event of the series, First Look Live, takes place on Fri 11 Nov from 6:30pm‐10:30pm and will host some of the best in new Scottish music. Headliners FOUND — one of Scotland's top experimental pop bands will be supported by fine young producer S-Type alongside upbeat synth maestro Ben Butler & Mousepad. Overseeing proceedings will be Radio 1's newest Scottish DJ Ally McRae.

As you soak up the entertainment, you can enjoy a drink with friends from the cash bars serving wine, beer, spirits, mini snacks and even some exclusive cocktails. There will be roving bloggers asking you what you think and photographers putting pictures online - so make sure you come dressed to impress. There will be prizes for the most outstanding fashionistas.

You'll find something interesting around every corner - from close up creepy crawly encounters to a silent disco, with plenty of opportunities to get creative. Last but certainly not least the museum shop will be open as well, so if you fancy indulging in retail therapy there will be special deals available on the night.
