Hugh Jackman cannon goes under the hammer

A cannon Hugh Jackman appeared to get fired out of on 'The Jonathan Ross Show' has gone up for auction.
The 'Real Steel' actor was shot out of the device before being interviewed on the ITV1 programme last month - and people can now bid to acquire the machine from online auction website eBay.
People have until Sunday afternoon (16.10.11) to make an offer of more than £58 for the cannon, which is described as "quite bulky", and the seller recommends the successful bidder should collect it in a van.
The listing reads: "A specially made prop cannon made for 'The Jonathan Ross Show' to fire Hugh Jackman out of!
"The cannon has now been taken apart for storage. It does not include any firing mechanism, but does include the steps. It is quite bulky and heavy and will require a Luton van to collect."
The 42-year-old star appeared to land head first on the floor when he was fired out of the cannon, despite Jonathan assuring the actor he would catch him.
Hugh then made the comedian jump after pretending to be genuinely hurt following the stunt. Fellow guest, comedian Peter Kay, came out from the green room chuckling before giving the actor a £10 note, which appeared to be a winning bet for scaring the TV presenter. Jonathan joked: "I was actually worried about you for a minute then. I hope you feel bad. Kay, you're a bad influence."
It's not the first time the actor has made such a grand entrance on a chat show, as he suffered a badly cut eye in December 2010 when he appeared on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'.
The Australian star crashed into light rigging and hurt his face after sliding down a zip cable from the top of the Sydney Opera House towards a giant outdoor stage where the programme was being recorded.
