Nancy Dell'Olio's boa ban
Nancy Dell'Olio has been banned from wearing a feather boa on 'Strictly Come Dancing' following last week's wardrobe malfunction, which saw her trip over during her performance.
Nancy Dell'Olio has been banned from wearing a feather boa on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
Bosses of the BBC One show have banned the Italian star - who is partnered alongside professional dancer Anton Du Beke - from donning the accessory in tomorrow night's show (08.10.11) after a wardrobe malfunction caused her to trip over it last week.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "It's a shame as the boa was a lot of fun, and Nancy loved it. Anton had told her to dump it after a similar mishap in rehearsals, but she refused as she thought it was really sexy.
"But after it happened on the show producers said enough was enough."
Meanwhile, the mystery of the 'Strictly' saboteur continues after former politician Edwina Currie denied all involvement in ruining Nancy's dress just minutes before she took to the stage for last week's performance, landing a score of just 12 out of a possible 40.
She said: "She managed to do that all by herself."
Edwina also admitted while her rumoured spat with Nancy started off as "complete fiction", it has taken on a "life of its own" - with the former MP launching a cryptic attack on Nancy's feminine morals.
She added on ITV1's 'Lorraine': "It started off being complete fiction but it's rather taken on a life of its own.
"We do have similarities - we both come from sea ports, I'm from Liverpool, she's from Naples and what you do in sea ports is welcome in sailors from all over the world and send them home happy."
