X Factor finalists face the axe in shock twist
Four 'X Factor' finalists will be axed by their own mentors as part of a shocking twist this weekend.
Four 'X Factor' finalists will be axed by their own mentors this weekend.
The shocking twist will see one act from each of the four categories - fronted by Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland - ditched from the ITV1 show on Sunday (09.10.11) following their first live performances tomorrow night.
But viewers will not have a say in who leaves
A source said: "This is 'X Factor' with teeth. It's going to be the biggest drama the show has ever seen. It will be agonising to watch, but compulsive.
"It's really going to shake things up and bosses are expecting tears from contestants, the judges - and even the viewers."
The acts - including Kitty Brucknell, Frankie Coccoza and Janet Devlin - were informed of the twist yesterday (06.10.11).
Gary told his contestants: "This is the 'X Factor' stage - it's one thing singing by the pool but it all changes here. This is where stars are born, like Leona Lewis. It's all going to feel very different on Saturday."
Kelly told the girls: "We want you to put your best foot forward, make the decision hard for us and let us know why you need to stay."
N-Dubz singer Tulisa insisted no decisions had yet been made and urged her groups to give the performance of their lives.
She said: "Please understand all of you that none of us have made our decision. It's a clean slate and we are making our decision as if we have never seen you before."
