David Hasselhoff 'absolutely' returning to BGT
David Hasselhoff will ''absolutely'' be returning to the 'Britain's Got Talent' judging panel, despite being rumoured to have been axed from the ITV1 show
David Hasselhoff will "absolutely" be returning to the 'Britain's Got Talent' judging panel.
The former 'Baywatch' hunk - who was rumoured to have been axed from the ITV1 programme last month - explained he has already received show boss Simon Cowell's seal of approval to return to the panel for a second series next year.
He said: "I wouldn't leave the show. When the show is over, the last conversation I had with Simon before he sailed away was, 'Darling, are you coming back?' And I said, 'Absolutely'.
"So I'm coming back. Who knows you know, stranger things have happened."
David explained while comedian Michael McIntyre has quit 'BGT' to concentrate on his upcoming 100-date stand-up tour, he expects to finalise the details of his role on the panel - which also features pregnant Amanda Holden - in a "last minute negotiation".
He added in an interview with Absolute Radio's Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show: "I know that Michael's not coming back but no one has called to say, 'Hey, you're officially on the board.' You know they usually do this at the last minute.
"It's always kind of a last thing negotiation but I loved it, man, it was great. I really got to put a face behind the people who watch my show and it was a lot of fun. Now that I know the accents and I know where I'm going obviously I'm going to come back."
