Nancy Dell'Olio turns 'Miss Marple'
Nancy Dell'Olio has turned into a self-styled ''Miss Marple'' in a bid to solve the 'Strictly Come Dancing' saboteur mystery after her costume was tampered with ahead of Saturday night's (01.10.11) show.
Nancy Dell'Olio has turned into a self-styled "Miss Marple" in a bid to solve the 'Strictly Come Dancing' saboteur mystery.
The Italian lawyer - who is the ex-girlfriend of former England football manager Sven Goran Eriksson - is "determined" to track down the culprit who ripped the hemline of her gown and drenched the frock with water just minutes before she took to the stage for Saturday night's (01.10.11) show.
After discovering a stray sequin outside the door to her dressing room and a suspicious shade of fake tan on one of her pashminas, Nancy thinks she could have found "crucial" pieces of evidence.
An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Nancy is determined to track down whoever did this. There are a couple of leads she will explore - she is calling herself Miss Marple.
"She's been really hurt by the whole affair and would hate to think someone is deliberately trying to hamper her chances. While the BBC are confident the dress tampering was an accident - and the person responsible is simply too embarrassed to come forward - Nancy feels otherwise.
"After the show she found fake tan streaked into her pashmina that was less orange than the one Nancy favours. She wants to discreetly match the shade to its owner. The sequin could also be crucial."
However, Nancy's fellow contestant Robbie Savage claims to know who the 'Strictly' saboteur is.
Writing on his twitter page, he said: "Who's the sabatoer!!?? Who knocked over the bottle of water?? I know who it was! (sic)"
It is believed the BBC have declined Nancy's request for a bodyguard.
