Nancy Dell'Olio fears someone is trying to sabotage her performances on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The Italian lawyer - the ex-girlfriend of former England football manager Sven Goran Eriksson - was left shaken after the mint green ballgown she was due to wear on Saturday night's (01.10.11) show was found soaked with a ripped hemline ahead of her performance.

Although members of the wardrobe department hastily dried and sewed the dress back together before she took to the stage with her professional partner Anton du Beke, Nancy believes it was no accident and is desperately trying to find out who destroyed her frock.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The dress was hanging with all the others on the communal rail outside the dress room area. After having her make-up done Nancy went to collect it and saw it had had water chucked all over it. It was drenched.

"Also the hem had been altered, it was fraying. Nancy was stunned. She was asking 'Whodunnit?' but no one had any answers. It was pretty strange.

"The wardrobe department tidied up the worst of the damage but it disarmed Nancy. She felt it badly hampered her dance."

Nancy only managed to score 12 out of a possible 40 from the BBC One show's judges - Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman and Craig Revel Horwood - after she tripped on her feather boa during her performance.

A spokesperson for Nancy said: "Nancy was left extremely shaken but realised the show must go on."
